Child Safety Seats

Child seats are necessary from the time an infant is born until they are old enough to ride using a regular seat belt. Parents must ensure that they have safety seats that appropriately accommodate a child based on their age and weight. The seat must also be installed properly to ensure the safety of the child.

Read the enclosed instruction to understand how the particular seat must be installed. Always position the seat in the rear seat of the vehicle. Infant's seat must be facing backward. Most seats remain securely in place using a seat belt. Make sure the belt passes through the bottom of the seat properly and tightly secured. The seat should not be able to move sideways, forward or backward more than one inch when properly installed. The seat should also recline slightly to protect the child's head and neck. When needing a family vehicle, come to DCH Honda of Mission Valley and take one of our vehicles for a test drive.
