The towing safety checklist will help reduce any instances of trouble so that you arrive at your destination with the towed vehicle safely.

• Once the vehicle is on the trailer, be sure the weight has been positioned in a way that it is as evenly distributed as possible.
• Never assume the taillights on the trailer are working, have someone get behind the vehicles and confirm they are all working.

Over time, the headlights on your vehicle can take on a dingy and yellow look. It makes the headlights look unattractive, and it can make your headlights produce less light. When your headlights start to look dull, there are ways to restore them.

One easy was to restore the appearance of your headlights is to use ordinary toothpaste. Just put a small amount on the headlight. Get a wet rag, and then rub gently. 

While shiny tires aren't a requirement for driving, clean tires can make your car look better. A good brush can be used to clean the rims or the hubcaps. Choose a product to clean with that is specifically designed for tires. Apply the cleaning product to the tires, leaving it for a short time before using the brush to get rid of the dirt and grime.

Spray the tires until all of the product is removed. You might have to spray them more than one time to ensure that they are clean.

• If you need to turn on the windshield wipers, you should be turning on the headlights too. The headlights will act as a beacon and alert other drivers you are ahead or behind them.

They also want you to understand that there is a difference between carrying a compact temporary tire, often called a donut, and a full-sized spare tire.
